KINTAI VYDŪNAS CULTURAL CENTER
Former building of Kintai parish primary school is an important object of cultural heritage. Vilhelmas Storosta – Vydūnas (1868-1953) - a famous personality of Lithuania Minor, started his independent life as a creator here.
Vilhelmas Storosta - Vydūnas (1868-1953) is a famous Lithuanian writer, philosopher, cultural activist and educator. In the biography of Vydūnas Kintai is like a crossroad of self-determination and creative. Living in Kintai he changed his habits of life, which has helped to overcome pulmonary tuberculosis. In 1891 he married a relative of school chef Klara Fiulhaze and moved to Tilsit (now Sovetsk, Kaliningrad district). The main aim of his further life was to work for the sake of Lithuanian national culture and spirit-building. He wrote more that 60 books. 
After the restoration of the old school building in 1994 the Museum of Vydūnas was established. It was a branch of Šilutė Museum and situated in the residence part of the building. In 1997 the institution was reorganized into Kintai Vydūnas Cultural Center. In the remained museum of Vydūnas there are exhibited the authentic writer’s music instrument – the harp and the hole collection of his writings, photos and letters.
Kintai Art and Music class, the branch of Children Art School of Šilutė district, works in the old classes of the historical school from 1994. The children of Kintai surrounding attend the class.  
After the reconstruction of the outbuilding near the school in 2011 artists' workshops, art gallery, living and working spaces for artists were equipped.
